I read your horse
from three seats.
Most people bring one perspective to your horse. I bring three — and they don't cancel out, they add up.
-
Certified therapist
I know what the tissue and the nervous system are doing — and how microcurrent helps the body do its own repair.
-
Vet-hospital tech
I work in an equine hospital. I've seen a lot of what can go wrong — and I know when your horse needs a vet, not me.
-
Competing rider
I compete myself. I know exactly what it feels like when your horse just isn't right and you can't put your finger on why.
* Certified through Accelerated Therapeutic Systems (ATS). Instruments are FDA-cleared. I complement your veterinarian — I don't diagnose or replace them.
The machine listens before it gives.
The Electro-Acuscope and Electro-Myopulse are non-invasive microcurrent therapy systems designed to support the body's natural healing and recovery processes. Using a gentle, low-level electrical current, they respond to the individual needs of the horse and support proper neuromuscular and musculoskeletal function.
This technology can be incorporated into care for horses experiencing muscle soreness, soft-tissue stress, inflammation, swelling, and discomfort associated with athletic activity or injury. It may also help support circulation, tissue recovery, muscle relaxation, and overall neuromuscular balance.
At Magnitude Equine Therapy, each session is tailored to the individual horse — whether the goal is preventative maintenance, performance optimization, recovery, or rehabilitation support. It's a gentle, non-invasive modality used as part of a comprehensive approach to keeping equine athletes feeling and performing their best.

- C Preventative maintenance
- Catch the small stuff early — before it turns into a lameness you can't miss.
- D General wellness
- Comfort and balance for the everyday horse, not just the competitor.

Most horses relax right into it — licking, chewing, yawning, dropping their head. About 30 minutes hands-on once I know the horse.

An honest report
You get my straight read on what I found and what I'd do next. That's it.
Why one session
usually isn't enough.
One session can be a great starting point, but lasting change rarely happens overnight. Your horse's body is constantly adapting to training, competition, compensation, injury, and everyday stress. When an imbalance or area of discomfort has been developing over time, it often takes consistent support and multiple sessions to create meaningful change.
At Magnitude Equine Therapy, we focus on more than simply treating the area that feels sore. We look at the whole horse and build a plan based on their individual needs, workload, performance goals, and recovery.
Consistency lets us:
- Support the body through different stages of recovery
- Address compensation patterns that develop over time
- Maintain neuromuscular and muscular balance
- Support recovery between training and competition
- Monitor changes and adjust treatment as the horse progresses
- Build a preventative routine before small issues become bigger problems
Think of it like training: you wouldn't expect one workout to completely change your horse's strength, balance, or performance. Bodywork and recovery support work the same way.
One session may help your horse feel better, but consistent care is what allows us to support meaningful, long-term progress. Every horse is different, and the right frequency depends on their individual condition, workload, and goals.
I'd rather tell you the truth than sell you a quick fix that won't hold. — Bertha
Works with your vet — not instead
If your horse has a diagnosis, we follow your vet's plan and I'm there to support the recovery: help the tissue along, keep them comfortable, keep them moving well. I work in a vet setting myself, so I take that line seriously. If something needs a vet, I'll tell you.
What this is — honestly — not
- Not a cure.
- Doesn't replace your vet.
- Won't erase a serious injury overnight.
- Not magic.
What it is: a modality that supports the body's own recovery — when used consistently, as part of a bigger plan.
Your horse's body leads the way.
The therapy responds to what each horse needs — and we build the care around them.

I load the cart before the sun's up and drive barn to barn. I'll travel farther when there are a few horses to see — just ask.
The questions I get
the most.
Does this really work?
Honest answer: it's not magic, and I won't pretend it is. Microcurrent works by helping the body do its own repair — so results come from a plan followed consistently, not one appointment. What I can promise is a real assessment, digital readings so we're tracking something concrete, and my straight read on whether it'll actually help your horse. If it won't, I'll tell you.
How many sessions will it take?
It depends on your horse and what's going on. The research on this kind of therapy generally shows some horses respond in just a few sessions, and others — especially older or more chronic cases — need more before things really settle. That's not me upselling you, that's just how healing works. I'll tell you where I think your horse falls, and we reassess as we go.
Does it hurt? What does it feel like?
It's quiet and gentle. The instruments read the body and adjust to it, so they won't overwork an area. Most horses relax right into it — you'll see them lick, chew, yawn, and drop their head. It's about 30 minutes hands-on once I know the horse.
Does this replace my veterinarian?
No — and that matters to me. What I do works with your vet, not instead of them. If your horse has a diagnosis, we follow your vet's plan and I support the recovery. I work in an equine hospital myself, so I take that line seriously. If something needs a vet, I'll tell you.
Do you come to me, or do I haul in?
I'm mobile — I come to your barn across Morgan Hill, Gilroy, San Martin and Monterey County, so you don't have to haul anywhere. Haul-in is available too, and I'll travel farther when there are a few horses to see. Just ask.
How does "pay after" work?
For the 3-day starter, you don't pay up front — you pay after we're done. I do it that way on purpose: I want you to see how your horse responds before you commit anything. I'm confident in the work, so I'd rather earn it than ask for it in advance.
